Because of it's focus on improving livelihoods of the most acutely poor. RIVER Africa's programmes are highly cost effective, reducing Maternal Mortality and morbidity, preventing for instance Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV/AIDS averting expensive treatment interventions and
unnecessary deaths.
Furthermore, RIVER Africa's dedicated poultry
project design is significantly more cost-effective than delivery systems currently in operation in a low-resource and low income countries like Malawi and Zimbabwe.
